Out of the Box Comparisons

Post by Stupot » Mon Jul 14, 2008 23:22

This article compares a few distro's OOTB experience and he included Sabayon. I was very pleased with this, even though he was using 3.4f he was pleasantly surprised.

Sabayon, doesn’t have package management (this release doesn’t)) its based on Gentoo, and that means compiling sources, the configure, make, make install trilogy, wrapped up in emerge.

See, it's people like this doing reviews that just shouldn't be. Someone want to point him to http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/h ... t=2&chap=1
