Sabayon Linux

Post by napagoda » Sat Sep 15, 2007 17:46

I heard about this on last 13th of September, on our FOSS workshop. I tried this it was sooo coool. Before using this I was working on Debian. I think this is more like to Vista. I don't like Microsoft products. I need to know is there packages like Open office in Sabayon.

Yup there is OO for SL or check out the 1.0 BE Sabayon has everything from Cad to power point / developer etc stuff in it.
If it works in gentoo it works here.

Portato or the older SL versions has Kuroo -> discontinued and this is the package manager or text as root in terminal " emerge --sync ; emerge portage ; layman -S " and once this is done it is up to date use " emerge -s office " or portage and browse.

O ja and any source code can be compiled here as well if you need too.

Hope this helps.
