[Wallpaper] Hot, Sticky Plastic...

Postby Izo » Sun Jul 29, 2007 2:16

At some point tonight, I just decided to start experimenting with GIMP's "Flame" render generator... I wanted to see if I could make the flame more 3D, or more substantial.

After much experimenting, I finally solidified a method and produced this wallpaper. I'm thinking I may release this as a pack, with different sizes and colours.

Anyway, let me know what you think.

Soon, soon... be patient my little one. The OP states that eventually a pack will be released containing various colours and sizes for your pleasure and smiles.

Just donwload it and use a photo editing software + change color / swap color rgb -> grb or that option to change the color.

Good job, WarraWarra. Nevertheless, my plan is to release a pack, with the wallpaper done in various styles and colours as well as containing a little jpeg tutorial on how to produce the effect as well.

Yup that would be nice , a guide would help a lot. Great Idea .
I have played with some luck on windblows and it falls apart Os with some luck but have not had the guts / time to try linux graphics programs yet and heck they are free so might as well learn. It is frustrating to know what and how you want something but no clue how to do it.
It is amazing give me a rotring pencil and drafting film and I can build 5 small Las Vegas city's for you but pc + art = no clue , just not comfortable yet with it / lack of knowledge.

PS> Someone else was going to also start a guide like what you are thinking of but more hardware related , we could maybe combine it in the wiki once rdy.
