i am happy to add suggested must have apps from other people to the list.

:) included
:( not included
 not the latest version (not a whine, i know there are freeze points in dev)
 latest version is in portage

here are a few questions/suggestions for the next point release of the 3.3 series:
Is there any chance of the following apps being included in future 3.3.1 release:
Taskjuggler 2.3.1 - http://www.taskjuggler.org/ - essential management planning tool
Basket Notes 1.01 (integrated into Kontact) http://basket.kde.org/
Krita 1.6.2 raster editor - http://www.koffice.org/krita/
vi/vim

Is there any chance that a speedy point release of the 3.3 series would look to include the latest versions of:
v2.2 of Openoffice - http://www.openoffice.org
v1.5.1 of Rosegarden - http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/ (released 14th March) - (bit confused by the v4.0 listing in 3.3)
v2.4.3 of Blender - http://www.blender.org
v0.9.1 of Digikam + Digikam plugins - http://www.digikam.org
v1.0 of K3B (released 17th March)
v0.2.1 of Beryl (silly question, of course you will)
v1.0.14 of Alsa (depends on final release of .14)
v2.6.21 of the kernel (sort out boot probs with 3.3 hopefully) :)
v4.3 of Truecrypt

you should install all these packages on your sabayon system. Then post which ones work without any challenging configuring. It would make the task of adding them, and testing them, easier for our developers.

Do you know what versions are stable in portage?

i now have a pretty good idea of where 3.3 stands as you will now see in the parent post, and am delighted to see so many happy emoticons.

i also know that historically Sabayon tend to do some fairly rapid point releases, so here are a few questions/requests about those items listed with a :( /  emoticon against them:

Is there any chance of the following apps being included in future 3.3x point release:
Taskjuggler 2.3.1 - http://www.taskjuggler.org/ - essential management planning tool
Basket Notes 1.0 (integrated into Kontact) http://basket.kde.org/
Krita 1.6.2 raster editor - http://www.koffice.org/krita/

Is there any chance that a speedy point release of the 3.3 series would look to include the latest versions of:
v1.5.1 of Rosegarden - http://www.rosegardenmusic.com/ (released 14th March) - (bit confused by the v4.0 listing in 3.3)
v2.4.3 of Blender - http://www.blender.org
v0.9.1 of Digikam + Digikam plugins - http://www.digikam.org
v1.0 of K3B (released 17th March)
v0.2 of Beryl (silly question, of course you will)
v1.0.14 of Alsa (depends on final release of .14)
v2.6.21 of the kernel (sort out boot probs with 3.3 hopefully)

I am happy to add to this list if people have questions/requests about must-have apps/components.......?

cheers for any help. :)
