It broke my kicker. It completely removed the button. How can I fix this and restore the button?

as root:
Code: Select all
mkdir /temp
tar xvjf /usr/portage/local/layman/sabayon/kde-base/kicker/files/kickoff-icons.tar.bz2 -C /temp
cp /temp/kickoff/*.png /usr/kde/3.5/share/apps/kicker/pics/
rm -rf /temp
I did all the procedures, but I get only this menu with mouse not over it:

Ant when mouse is over menu, small part of original icon appears (size is about 15*48) (sorry, couldn't take as screene). Any suggestions how to fix?

I emerged the new version of kicker and everything worked fine for me.

The theme looks very nice. I have a dell xps m1710. The laptop has these silly led's all over it's case with a big black metal plate on the back of the monitor. The new sabayon theme makes my OS match my laptop case :cyclopsani:

I have been running the new artwork and loving it. The bootsplash looks awesome on my widescreen monitor however the kde splash gets cut off and doesn't look near as good as it could if it were made to fit on widescreen. I modified the current splash to look somewhat good. Is the artwork team working on this before 3.3 gets released? Would it help if I put my modified theme online?

Here is what I did:

#layman -s sabayon
#emerge sabayonlinux-artwork

Nothing changed, so I rebooted. After that everything still looks like 3.26. Is there a step I am missing? Please help!

Also, earlier today I did these commands (exactly before I did the 2 ones previously stated):
# emerge --sync
# emerge portage

EDIT:
# emerge =gentoo-sources-2.6.18-r4
(I accidently pasted the wrong thing here, above is what it is suppose to be)

# cd /usr/src/linux
# zcat /proc/config.gz > .config
# make prepare modules_prepare

Do you have the symlink use flag set? If you don't, turn it on and re-emerge sabayonlinux-artwork.

I tried to find what symlink is, because I was unsure but I found this:

# USE="symlink" emerge gentoo-sources

I just did that command and now will attempt to re emerge the package.
# emerge sabayonlinux-artwork

Is there an actual re-emerge command? I just used the command above.

EDIT:
Just finished emerging the artwork, nothing has changed. Now I will reboot and hope.

RESULT:
After rebooting, nothing has changed. Is there a theme or anything I have to switch to? Or should it just suddenly look different after "# emerge sabayonlinux-artwork" finishes emerging?

KDE Control Center>Appearance & Themes>Theme Manager>Change to "Sabayon Linux". Done that?

Try the following:
#layman -d sabayon
#layman -a sabayon
#emerge sabayonlinux-artwork

I also tried layman -s sabayon, and didn't work. So, delete first the overlay and then add it again. It worked for me.
Cheers.
