Postby terlmann » Tue Feb 27, 2007 14:49

the new theme is not very glassy and very poorly lighted. can i at least have the option of returning to acid tech tiger?

I like the design, I think its a new good direction. Only thing I would change is make the chicken foot in circle a bit more contrast and glassyness.

I tried selecting 'acid tech tiger' in my profile (and DID save it), but see no change in the display. You may not be aware of this, but men with red/green color blindness have an AWFUL problem seeing the red labels. And it's especially hard for me to see the black versus dark red borders on the text areas-- without using the tab key to move into the typing field, I have NO IDEA where it is.

The same theme, but using shades of BLUE as an alternative to the RED, would be great for people with typical male color blindness. I know that this artwork is like a "trademark" in sabayonlinux, but an alternative is needed by some users here on the forum. (I can change the art on my installation, but not here  )

Funny, I chose AcidTechTiger from my profile, and it didn't change the theme at all -- it's still a dark color scheme with a bad contrast of light print on dark background, with URL links of light gray that are hard to differentiate from white text around it unless you're *really* looking closely.

I'll second (or third/fourth) the vote for an extra theme for those of us who need/want a lighter theme.

I am not Red/Green colour blind, but my eyesight is deteriorating and I find that the current theme makes the site very difficult to use. It would be appreciated if it was possible to choose an "accessability" theme.

By using Firefox and View|Page_Style|No_style I can at least read the forum.

Perhaps it would bo good if the site could satisfy the W3C HTML/CSS validation tests, and manage AA accessibility conformance. But I expect that this would preclude the use of phpbb.

Pleeeeease get rid of the black and red design it is awful and almost unreadable in some light conditions. The first thing I did when I installed 3.3 is to restore the magnificent flower wallpaper that you ditched (why must people change things for the sake of it??) but that doesn't help with the dreadful colour scheme on the website - get rid of it asap!!
