Wouldn't it make more sense to put efforts into making a GUI for Paludis?

As far as I understand portage is a dead-end, and paludis seems to be close to good enough to start using already.

Sure, sooner or later there must be an "official" repleacement for portage, but i dont think that paludis will be the solution ;)

Especially because ciaran is lead hehe

Have saw palundis in action

A friend of mine runs palundis and I have to say I am impressed. it was BLAZING fast and still uses the same tree. It seems to be similar to to emerge you would just replace the emerge command with palundis.

Obviously, having a good GUI-PKG-MGR is one of the basic things that make a distro attractive to the public. In Sabayon's case all what's needed is a nice GUI (the pkg mgr, portage, is already there).
Before starting anything I need to ask first if any of the developers is working (or will work) on a new GuiPkgMgr for Sabayon?

Ive been using porthole and updating successfully but nobody seems to maintain it - even tho it does its job really well. If Kuroo is a grief why not replace it with a maintained pothole? :o
