I come back on this topic because of thw new monthly isos release. In my opinion we have another lack of comunication. We now have Official releases, daily build, and monthly builds. The download page is the same and we don't officialy announce the new monthly isos.
OT:IMO at this point we can also drop official releases and use monthly as official(just IMO). This because official release are too old and have too many releases is just confusing.

I know that but you have to admid that this is absolutely not clear. As said before our download section is very confusing. We have to define a clear release and download system. New users don''t have followed all fabio's post and so they don't know about monthly isos.

I think that all http (not for ftp) links must be pointed to main.html page (for all mirrors)

example : http://na.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/sabayo ... /main.html for stable release

and follow the links :
go to "daily" editions
go to monthly editions
go to torrent tracker

for others

I agree. The ideal solution is to have a dowload page with 3 selectors to chose first the eiditon(K,G,XFCE....), then the release (monthly as reccomended, iso as 'unstable') and lastly the server from our mirror list.

HI Fabio,
can you please explain the differences between 13.04 other monthly isos and daily isos? I mean apart of the obvious fact of their release frequency.

Have in Mind that the Daily ISOs are not for begginers in Sabayon, are experimental ISOs, may not be fully stable.

Are the "Sabayon of the Future"... If a begginer in Sabayon use the Daily ISO, the Team may not warrant that they work as well as the official ones.

Compare with Ubuntu, remember that Ubuntu is not Rolling Release! Other Philosophy.

If you enjoy Rolling Release distros, Many packages to upgrade cannot be annoying for you. If you dont enjoy many updates, you also dont enjoy Rolling Release Distros.

The Official are the Official Releases. Newer are the Montly, the Daily are the newest, are the templates for the "Future Sabayons", example, in some months it will contain code for the "future Sabayon".

Any progress on this side?
It happens sometimes too see some new users that have downloaded the wrong iso.
Furthermore we have to say to people that our stable isos are synchronized with the weekly repos while our daily with the sabayonlinux.org repo.
I suggest to put in rigo all the three options available "limbo - sabayonlinux.org - weekly", for all our isos.
Another point is to say to people that montly isos are, like daily isos, not tested.
We need, IMHO, to fill this lack of communication with a better site or at least a better download section.
