Re: fglrx problem with 2 ati graphic chips

yes, I've seen this issue before. Boot into your bios, and make sure that you don't have hardware switching enabled for graphics cards. Re: Can't get past GRUB when booting from liveDVD sabayon 4.2

hm... this is most interesting. Is this when you are booting off of the DVD, or when you're just turning on your computer like normal? At the moment, this issue does not seem to make much sense... the DVD kinda doesn't use GRUB, it uses ISOLinux....

Re: Booting problem, blank screen

Well, there is also nox, but you pretty much covered it there. Darn, I can't think of anything else to do. If you are really crazy gung-ho about Sabayon you can install gentoo and then hop to Sabayon from there, but it will take effort.

Re: Booting problem, blank screen

If it doesn't even get to the "loading linux" box (or loading minirtz.gz), then my guess is that your problem is your CD/DVD drive not liking to play with DVD-based distros. You can test this by attempting to boot from a USB stick instead, or switching out your DVD/CD drive, or just booting the imag...

Re: How do I boot up In Grub2 If It is using grub legacy now ?

added Parsix 3.0 and put grub2 on the root partition. Sabayon grub is also installed on the root partition. Could you clarify? What do you mean by "root parition?" What bootloader is on the mbr? You will most likely want to use your Parsix install disk to put grub2 on your mbr and follow an online ...

Re: Booting problem, blank screen

hm... what do you see before that black screen?

Also, though it did work for your friend you should probably check the integrity of your disk anyway, just to be extra sure.
