local loopback mail not working? How is root supposed to get

local loopback mail not working? How is root supposed to get error logs??? Note: Sabayon was installed from the x86_64 live dvd on a Gateway laptop (MT6451 Notebook PC) It has AMD Turion 64x2 processor and a 120 gig HD I need my scripts to be able to use mailx to send error messages to local mailbox...

Suddenly elinks can login again...

I didn't change anything. But elinks can login again. I call that a good thing. But I sure wish I knew what changed. (on again/off again functionality makes me think something must be unstable {somewhere?})

At least it's working again...

The reason I chose to disable javascript was expressly because of the "complete experience" at http://www.sabayonlinux.org/ even before loging in... I'm speaking of that scrolling text (looked like forum topics?) in the "Sabayon community" box next to the login form... I dislike things that move any...

I used to login with elinks. I've made no changes in my software. I note that with firefox when I go to my "home page" <http://www.sabayonlinux.org/> I now have to press [tab] 22 times to get to the Username field. I'm sure I used to get there by pressing [tab] only 1 or 2 times??? So it's much more...

I'd have to agree that having the same $HOME on multipal distros is asking for it. But since the OP is planning on seperate login names and hence seperate $HOME dirs he should be ok. That is /home/raqua will never be an active $HOME for any user on the new distro, and /home/john will never be an act...
