No it doesn't. You can open Portato from the console as a normal user, you just can't do anything with it.

Re: upgrade SL 3.3 -> 3.4e fails

I have used the upgrade option twice. The first time was to go from 3.4 loop2 to 3.4a. That took about 45-50 minutes and appeared to work ok but then I had problems with Compiz. As I assumed it was because Compiz had replaced Beryl and I still had my Beryl settings I decided to do a complete re-inst...

Re: Sabayon freezes without any evident reason

3.4e is very very buggy, at least for me, and it is not runnable at all on any of my systems. Whaaaah? :shock: I have been downloading it for three days! I am also getting the random freezes but usually only on specific applications. This especially happens if I have several applications open. If I...

There is no error message. It opens ok from console, it is only when I try to open it via the icon that it doesn't work.

Re: Azureus tries to update to Vuze

Ktorrent just doesn't cut it for me... I actually like Ktorrent but find it very unstable. On my setup it will not run for more than 3-4 hours without crashing. VERY annoying when you want to donload something overnight! As a result I use Azureus which is a bit bloated for my liking but is at least...

Re: 3.4 Loop3 is too big for FAT32

I have finally gotten around to downloading 3.4E and I am saving it to a newly created NTFS partition. Am I the only one who is even slightly excited about the ability of Linux to read AND write to NTFS partitions? For all the years I have been using Linux it has been accepted you cannot write to NT...
