useless brightness slider

the system tray pulldown has a volume slider which works fine
and a brightness slider that appears to do nothing at all.
any ideas?

i found a page with a hyperlink to each part of the portage tree on the gentoo forums but when i did my first full update there were a ton of cool sounding names is there anywhere that has a full listing or is there any way i can capture it next update? i tried to scroll up and copy when it finished...

i gave up trying to dual boot with Sabayon and W8 so i can only try to help with a dedicated SL install. the steps listed in the link i posted in this topic got me to a working Sabayon install with wifi issues. Microsoft is notorious for not getting along well with others there are two ways mentione...

I am trying to install sabayon 14.01 KDE but it will not boot from the dvd. Instead it goes back into windows. i installed without gparted and with UEFI it would boot to W8 and in legacy bios it would boot to the lili sabayon usb. So I guess i am asking how do i install on a system which has window...

For manually partitioning you can type mount point field manually ;) just make sure you have partition available
i can't believe i didn't even try that! ^_^;;
