i used rigo to install blender, and have the nifskope .zip in my downloads folder but it won't extract to ~/scripts . i don't like downloading things from webpages at all but rigo seems not to have heard of nifskope or pyffi. can anybody tell me how to install them using our package managers so that...

so i just made the foolish mistake of thinking

and go back to the original one if i like it best.

i don't know if this is why it finally worked
but leaving the usb plugged in until the reboot
finished coincided with the install finally taking.
contrary to the walk through in the wiki. fyi.

acerv5-571 laptop after Openrc update, volume/brightness/(wireless)/battery etc. pulldown appears offscreen with only half of each icon visible along the right edge. settings -> displays -> portrait -> timeout fixes the problem temporarily but can there be a way to prevent changing display settings ...

the answer is yes, reverting to the recommended version of blacklist.conf will break my wifi again. ): also, accept was the option to revert to original, making discard the option to retain the fixes. It seems the changes to blacklist.conf where what got networkmanager working again, not systemctl. ...
