On my windows environment I have ~35 extensions. 3 of which i've written myself. I'm locked in & there's no way in hell opera can do anything about that.

I would, but firefox's extensions are much better than opera's. Right now I've taken to carrying them on USB & reinstalling them every time I restart. The livecd also includes ff1.5
