Re: Overwrote SL by my son!

Hi wolfden, Let me explain further, my SL was on my 1TB (LVM) drive. My data drive (150GB) was an ext3. So my 150GB data drive was formatted when mandriva was installed, leaving my 1TB SL installation still on that LVM drive (luckily, I hope), So yes grub's been overwritten, so don't even have the o...

Overwrote SL by my son! [Solved]

Hi all! Have come to you this morning with a pretty unusual topic  Last night my son installed Mandriva ontop of my beloved SL  As my SL installation was on a (1TB) LVM file system, plus he installed Mandriva onto an ext3 (150GB) drive; thankfully leaving my 1TB data drive (LVM) alone. I...

Re: Dream Linux Hardware Comp?

Funnily enough, I've got a decent sized bonus coming my way end of November  so think it's time for me to upgrade my machine. Here's what's on my shopping list, so far! AMD Phenom™ 9950 Black Edition (My MSI mobo doesn't show support for Opteron's yet) 1GB MSI GTX 280, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), Mem ...

Re: Minimise, maximise & close messages gone.

After a day in KWIN & after trying the new 'mandriva-linux-one-2009-rc2-KDE4-int-cdrom-i586.iso', which didn't even boot  Rebooted into SL & thought why not give compiz a try? Lo & behold, I've got my wibbly-wobbly windows back, including my minimise, maximise & close messages back  Wo...

Re: Minimise, maximise & close messages gone.

Hi all!
Well just re-installed compiz & all related packages via Equo, without sucess :( So I switched to KWIN & my minimise/maximise & close messages have returned  I suppose I can live without compiz for a while...until the next release :?:

Thanks for all your help & advice!

Re: Minimise, maximise & close messages gone.

Well, I've changed Emerald themes, even my window manager without success :( I don't really want to re-install, I've heard that there are about 600+ updates via Equo  Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Minimise, maximise & close messages gone.

Hi dunsurfin!
I'll try changing my Emerald theme/window decorator tonight when I get back from the work, hopefully that'll sort me out!

Thanks :D

Minimise, maximise & close messages gone. [Solved]

Noticed after upgrading to KDE 3.5.10 on 3.5 64bit, I've lost my minimise, maximise & close messages top right of any window/app I open :? Anyone else having this minor issue, more importantly, any idea how to get these little suckers back

Many thanks :D

Virtualbox 2.02 & Spawning session problem

I installed virtualbox 2.02 last night, as it was available in Portage (after downloading from SUN website, then placing download in usr/portage/distfiles). Everything whent along fine, compiled in about 15 mins. The problems started after I launched the program & had a play with PC-BSD 7.0, all Vir...
