Re: Sabayon taking way too long to boot

Hi again. Well, after inspecting the dmesg once again, I think I discovered what the problem is: xhci_hcd . It seems that from the 12th second to the 44th second, all it's doing is waiting for xhci_hcd to do something. [ 16.991818] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: Timeout while waiting for address device comm...

Sabayon taking way too long to boot

Hi all. I'm with new laptop Asus N550JV. It's a decent machine with Intel Core i7-4700HQ, 16GB Ram and integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 and Nvidia GeForce GT 750M. I think it is supposed to boot quite quickly. It doesn't. It takes more than a minute from boot menu to KDE login screen. So I wanted t...

Re: blutooth adapter not found

Hi! Thanks for the suggestions. I was busy last week, but I finally upgraded the kernel to the latest (3.12.0). The KDE is 4.11.4. I also updated bluedevil and libbluedevil. But the bluetooth still doesn't work. I found the thread you mentioned and I noticed that while everything else matches the de...

blutooth adapter not found

Ok, a new problem. I just tried my blutooth and when I run the devil, it tells me "No adapter found" . I know I have one, it's "Alaska Day 2006" I can see it in KInfo -> USB Devices -> xHCI Host Controller -> Bluetooth USB Host Controller But it doesn't show in lsub and lspci. I'm posting the output...

Re: Atheros AR9485 kills my wifi router

Ok, here's what I did and it seems to have fixed the issues for now.
I edted:
$sudo nano /etc/default/crda
And added this line:
REGDOMAIN=BG
And the wifi with the TENDA router is working beautifuly. No idea what and why I had this problem. Thanks for the reply, because it directed me to the answer.

Atheros AR9485 kills my wifi router [Solved]

Well, I just took my new laptop, it's with atheros ar9485. The wired connection works fine, but the moment I connect to my wifi home network and try to do something, my router dies. And by dies, I mean that the wifi network disappears (for all the devices), and the router needs to be manually reboot...
