New to Sabayon, Magneto Doesn't Always Work.

Hi, all! I'm fairly new to Sabayon (and I love it). I have had a new installation for four days now and I was a little concerned that Magneto hadn't told me about any updates. I know it is perfectly acceptable not to have any updates, but I thought I'd try to use equo, just in-case. I ran the comman...

Re: Decibel and other apps...locale error.

I've read the Gentoo link posted above, but I have to admit, I'm still confused. Locale output looks like this: locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8" L...

Decibel and other apps...locale error.

Hi, all! Some apps are failing to start (not all). When I launch them from a terminal, I get something similar to this (launching 'Decibel'): (process:16903): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library. Using the fallback 'C' locale. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/decibel...

Re: Libreoffice has a black 'splashscreen'.

Thanks Sabayonino. Unless I missed something, that post details a workaround for this problem, not an actual solution. I would expect it to work 'out of the box', and if it doesn't, a bug should be filed. Unless I hear anything different, I'll file a bug. Appreciate the time you spent replying. Than...

Many thanks,

Chris.

Re: Firefox doesn't remember my Preferences.

They are now :-) This does what it says it should (ie, warn me), but it doesn't give me the option to save the tabs for next time. Nearly there.

Cheers,

Chris.

Xfce- How do I get Thunar to display thumbnails? [Solved]

Hi, all! Sabayon is installed and looking good; I am just sorting-out the last few niggles. When I open Thunar, most of the thumbnails display correctly, but some don't. They are of the same file type as the ones that display properly, but for some reason, don't seem to want to work, unlike the prev...

Libreoffice has a black 'splashscreen'.

Hi, all! When I start Libreoffice, it just has a black 'splashscreen' and dark progress bar, whilst opening. The document I want to open is displayed correctly, but I would expect to be able to read the 'Libreoffice' splashscreen as it opens. Anyone else had this problem, or know how to get around i...

Firefox doesn't remember my Preferences.

Hi, all! Just got Sabayon up and running and have installed all the updates. Unfortunately, when I 'quit' Firefox, it doesn't ask me whether I want to 'Save' the tabs that I currently have open. When I go into the 'Preferences' dialogue, I can't see anywhere to address this, so I decided to change m...
