Cheers, unfortunately the problem persist. I could add a session with command "/var/run/wicd/wicd.pid" and set it for loading before "wicd-client"... :)
edit: Idea with that session doesn't work..

I supposed that your wifi works because you said it's active. If you find networks by iwlist scan command so you should be able to connect to the internet. Wlan0 is your wireless card, it's correct... Some wireless cards have drivers in the kernel so you don't have to install them, like my Intel Pro...

I can't help you but I was trying Sabayon 64bit(now use 32bit) and on live dvd wifi was working perfectly with WPA2 encrypt but after installation wifi was down and not even installed. I could see just wired network, no wifi. The same problem I had on Debian 64 bit...
Wifi is Intel Pro 3945AGB.

Firstly, you have to check if your wifi is really working.. sudo iwlist scan or iwlist scan as root Secondly, working wifi is default in roaming mode. In systray is an icon of network. Just simple left click on it and choose network. Then put in WEP/WPA key(if necessary) and it should be connected. ...

Hi all, I've install Sabayon 4 and have a problem. I uninstall gnome network manager and install wicd. A problem is that wicd doesn't start automaticly and I have to start it manually by typing command "wicd" as root and then "alt + F2" and command "wicd-client" which is the same command in a sessio...
