Instead of the wine emulation method, he's trying for conversion of windows .exe to native linux/mac installers...be great for games! But I'm worried that it might bring windows spyware crap programs a long with it...

Well...two things: if its in portage they could have gotten permission and if its in portage, then users can d/l it if they want it...I don't know, personally I don't use it and I'd rather it not take up space...but I don't know, just my opinion.

I personally find no need. I just install and build stuff myself if needbe. But I do know that Lxnay is running Ubuntu ontop of his server for Zimba (is that how its spelled?) So each to their own and its all based about need :)
