Re: More than one Interface Language in Sabayon 5

i installed german with the package manager (Sulfur) and made 2 accounts: one in english (for me) and one in german (for guests). But i also remember that i had some problems with the Gimp, for example. You may have to set language or locale for gimp or openoffice in a terminal. I hope others can he...

There i am, researching how to get things work, which software i need, etc, and then i realized ...

Re: applications requiring root password - remember it?

euhm, ok, please explain why allowing the computer to remember the password to be able to get online is any greater security risk than just being online with a wired connection. :? I don't see any difference between typing the password or auto fill in the password. If that would be a risk, I guess ...

Re: applications requiring root password - remember it?

That sounds like a bug. I'm running Sabayon KDE with latest updates and it doesn't ask me for any password. The network manager shouldn't ask for the root password, anyway (it never asked me, at least). It should only ask you, if you want to make changes to system-wide settings. Though, i haven't tr...

Re: KDE Magneto Notifications time out

On the same matter (since it isn't fixed, yet), i would like to know how to best disable Magneto. Should i just uninstall it? i mean, i will still be able to launch Sulfur and check for updates myself, right?

Maybe that's his type of humour. On the other hand, it may depend on where one lives and how they would pronounce it. Or it means something different in another language.

Re: Icon theme issues

1. Could You post the links (or the names) for the iconsets you downloaded? That way we could see if it's a problem on Your side, or if it's a problem with the icon sets. 2. KDE-Look.org has restrictions on file upload size, so artists have to host elsewhere when their files are bigger than the allo...
