Re: Sabayon 5.0 sound problems

Well, in the meantime I decided to install totem and oddly enough, all 5 speakers work. I removed Amarok and will use it when it can use my 5.1 speaker system.

I love how FOSS can give you many choices. :D

Re: Sabayon 5.0 sound problems

I also installed Sabayon 5.o last night. Oddly enough, when I added the following: pcm.!dmix { type plug slave { pcm surround51 channels 6 } } pcm.!default { type plug slave.pcm “dmix” slave.channels 6 route_policy duplicate } to .asoundrc in my home folder, I can get all of my 5.1 speakers working ...

Re: X-Plane

I finally got Gentoo working on my Thinkpad with OpenGL working with my ATI card. My Thinkpad is primarily my business computer so first priority is to get the FOSS packages I am offering to clients installed and working. Acer, huh? Acer is not popular here in Vietnam, too many problems. I am aching...

Re: X-Plane

I decided to reinstall Gentoo on my Thinkpad T60. Need to get X-Plane running in there instead. When Sabayon 3.5 becomes stable, I will install it on another partition.

Re: X-Plane

So you got it running on Sabayon. That is cool. I still got openSUSE running on my Thinkpad T60 but I am thinking of putting Sabayon right back on after moving my files to my PC-BSD desktop. It is the only distro where my video card worked properly :D I will try to install X-Plane within the week.

Re: Compilation problem

What does 'uname -a' say?

Did you upgrade to a new kernel? If so, did you make sure to create a symlink between the new kernel and /usr/src/linux/?

Julian1984: The Sabayon/Gentoo Community is quite helpful when you have questions and/or problems. Remember that but before you pose a question on the forum or IRC, it is best to search for your question online, within the forum, etc. One thing I noticed from this community, myself included, is that...

Re: Linux Operating System Mobile Phone Suggestion

You meant the Motorola Rokr e6 right? Great phone. No wifi though but it will suffice until a newer model comes out.

By the way, you can flash into any Motorola phone. Just visit this link:
