Static IP

I was wondering... what kind of security I would need If I was to get a static IP. I want it so I can log in via ssh from anywhere in the world.

Ok so I messed around and commented out the lines about encryption in the hcid.conf file. Now it gives me a different error.

I just got a new wireless mighty mouse (apple), which uses bluetooth. I have never used bluetooth before especially on linux. When I browse for bluetooth devices I can see it, but when I click on it it asks for a program to use. If I try to connect to it, it gives an error that pairing is not allowe...

thanks, it works great when you type the command correctly!!!

I found that alternative method as well a few minutes ago, apparently this book seems to be the only source to use the original method for a new programmer.

ya I suppose I will wait, but everything seems to be working (especially the wireless). nope no errors until the module rebuild. /usr/src/linux/.config does not exist but cofig does. but is not valid as .config I use Sabayon 3.3. I upgraded my kernel because of the wireless support, and was unaware that it was so new. I am not afraid of new however and probably would have only approach...

I have it working well... as well as beryl did when I started using it a few months ago. Most everything I ever use with beryl is working fine, so in my book compiz-fusion is an ok replacement as of current (if you can get it installed). I look toward to a stable release and 3.4 integration.

/usr/src/linux points to the right kernel (linux-2.6.22-sabayon)
uname -r gives me 2.6.20-sabayon-r3
