Solved in IRC. Issue was the lack of proper nameserver in /etc/resolv.conf.

There are things you must do before freenode will allow you to connect using TOR. Try what the error suggests and view http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml. You may just find what you need there...

Anything in xorg.conf that has a # infront of it is completely ignored. Notice how your "Modes" lines that set the resolution begin with a #?

I find it interesting that you have no settings for a keyboard. No keyboard input device is defined anywhere in that.

What Sabayon version? Did you happen to update anything lately? PAM perhaps? Can you open a terminal in your X session? Can you use `su -` to simulate a login?

Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. You would need to use a program like xrandr i believe to change resolutions just before swapping monitors. Its pretty simple just to use the stated key-combo to quickly restart X and have it rescan for the proper resolution.

I'm pretty sure it always "suggests" formatting a filesystem before using it for the install, but you should still be able to turn down the suggestion and continue. Now, the real question is, why are you trying to use an existing /usr volume for sabayon? If it already contains data from another linu...
