Re: Problem with zip drive in 3.5

When the window came up for the zip drive that looks like a floppy, I clicked by the red X for "Do Nothing"; then I ticked the box for "Always do this for this type of media".

Problem with zip drive in 3.5 [Solved]

I have an icon that looks like a floppy disk - it's identified as "Zip Drive - Unmounted Zip Disk". When I insert the disk, I get two windows - one for KDE Daemon, and when I select "Open in new window", I get the following error message: Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher ...

Re: 3.4e compiz fusion lockup [SOLVED]

The problem was Kcontrol: "KDE Components --> Session Manager --> Restore manually saved session" was set. Once I saved the session before logout, it seems that it saved the whole desktop and caused the lockup.

Re: multiple desktops

I've got this problem, too. The settings are in Kcontrol --> Desktops --> Multiple Desktops and in Compiz Settings Manager --> General Options --> Desktop Size. If I change it to 4, 16 show up. If I change it to 1, there are 4, but if I logout/login, it goes to 1.

Re: How to Update Compiz Fusion **8/28/07**

OK, I followed everything exactly including the USE flag for xcb and I'm getting the following: >>> Emerging (1 of 16) x11-wm/compiz-9999 to / * checking ebuild checksums ;-) ... [ ok ] * checking auxfile checksums ;-) ... [ ok ] * checking miscfile checksums ;-) ... [ ok ] * Compiz now requires lib...
