libselinux

Hi all,

I was installing matlab2019b the other day, and (in contrast to older versions I've been using before) it requires libselinux. Is there a specific reason why this isn't available via entropy/equo? I installed it using emerge, and matlab appears to work fine for me now.

Look here for further hints: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=35756

The C compiler error may result from having no compiler installed at all. Does "gcc -v" come up with something useful?

Re: upgrade / migration issue [Solved]

I just updated another system: I installed (step by step) app-portage/unsymlink-lib sys-apps/sabayon-lib-migration-1 sys-apps/sabayon-lib-migration-check-1 with --nodeps . When the process got stuck again, I quit the sleep process in the background and got the "No module named portage" message menti...

After my modification the upgrade process completed after some time and over 600 updated packages without any errors.

Looks interesting. Did you still update equo/portage/entropy with --no-deps before doing this?

Re: upgrade / migration issue

Um, sounds interesting, but the problems there still look quite diffrerent from mine. Certainly, I upgraded to latest portage, equo, entropy (using --nodeps) before trying the migration step. equo always advised to do that first. Maybe that wasn't a good idea? Why would/do I need a portage from befo...

Re: upgrade / migration issue

Now I got another system where the update stalled on installing sabayon-lib-migration-1. Again, this was a system that didn't see updates for a couple of months, but well... again, the system is completely hosed, panics after killing the sleeping process (see below) and trying to continue migration,...

profile setting

Just to let people in here know: I just spend quite some time hunting down issues that were caused by Sabayon's profile erronously set to 17.0/desktop where it should have been 17.1/desktop after the profile change in March. This has to be done manually when doing an upgrade, but the profile is also...

DAILY images don't boot anymore

I tried to install recent daily XFCE AMD64 images the other day (tried images from 7th of May, and 11th of May to be more precise). They all crash during boot somewhere around plymouth with squashfs mount errors (sorry, no screenshot at hand). I tried dd'in to USB media, using etcher to create USB m...
