Re: Grub edit for startup issue

Thank you Joost. But to add insult to injury, now I'm getting fatal dracut errors. So I did a reinstall and got the same results. I'm going to do another hardware change and start over. This is passing strange.

Grub edit for startup issue

I have a good healthy install of Sabayo 19.3, I think. I am getting this error that keeps me from logging into it most of the time. Like right about now. ATA1: comreset failed (errno=-16). The error slowly fills up the screen and finally either lets me in, or fails. I have an rdsosreport.txt file I'...

Re: Before I jump in neck deep...

Thank you for your feedback. I got it installed the way I wanted to do it. It's on my SSD now. And W is on another drive. I really do like this distro.

Before I jump in neck deep...

Going full in with Sabayon. I have a longstanding Windows7 system that I need to keep viable in case I need to boot to it and get information and links from it. The 7 system is on a solid state drive. I want to get that onto another drive on the same system. It is a 500gb drive that it blank right n...

Re: installer cannot create partition(s)

I was having an issue with this on a new install as well. I got around it by deleting the partition and creating a new one. Then formatted it. I was able to install this morning. But still getting the comreset issues in my other thread.

Installation errors.

I have a PC with an extra 500gB drive in it. It is one that I built myself a few years ago. So nothing new. A quad core mobo. My video card is what I'm worried about being compatible. It's a GeForce GTX-460. Having said that, I'm getting these errors whether in a windows install or boot up install. ...

Re: Want to install to Raspberry Pi 3B+

I have looked at everything else and I can understand if it is all needed to enjoy and use Sabayon correctly. But am I missing something here? Do I need to do something special, or hidden, in the enthalpy file just to get it to boot? I don't think so. No one would do something like that with a progr...

Re: Want to install to Raspberry Pi 3B+

Well I have it installed to the card. But it hangs at the four colored screen. I used unxz and dd to flash it, like the page said. when I look at the contents of the SD card I'm seeing something strange. The bootcode file shows to be a bin file but the icon for it suggests that it is a,, ultraISO fi...

Want to install to Raspberry Pi 3B+

But all the images I have been able to find are in the .ISO format. I know that is the wrong format for the Rasp. But the website says it is specifically written to be compatible with it. I am confused. What I have read about Sabayon has made me realize it is what I have been looking for. Sabayon is...
