It is installed on /dev/sda1. I didn't change any installation settings, so everything is default.

Re: Gnome AMD64 daily builds fail to boot

Re: USB-RS232 Adapter Problem

Thanks Fitzcarraldo, I didn't have remote access to the computer, so it took me some time to try out your suggestion. Unfortunately it didn't change anything and still gives me the same error. The only solution I was able to find was to remove brltty from my OS. I didn't want to go that way because ...

USB-RS232 Adapter Problem [Solved]

Hi everyone, I'm having problems to make a successful connection between USB to RS232 cable. When I connect the cable my system recognizes the FTDI chip but instantly disconnects it. dmesg | grep tty throws a similar output like this: [84809.532433] usb 2-5: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now atta...

Re: Geforce graphics drivers

After commenting out NVreg_DeviceFileGID=VIDEOGID option from /etc/modprobe.d/nvidia.conf, I am able to access GUI. I'm still wondering why this error occured but things seem to be working fine now. Edit: I uncommented out this again: NVreg_DeviceFileGID=VIDEOGID and changed it to : NVreg_DeviceFile...

Re: Geforce graphics drivers

Hello, As a Geforce GT 220M user, my computer also crashed after the latest update. I masked the new 346.35 Nvidia Drivers and installed 340.76, but I still have a similar problem: I cannot access GUI. Everything else seems to be working fine though. modprobe nvidia returns this error: nvidia: 'VIDE...
