Re: Anaconda gpt/efi install advice.

Made a newbie mistake, Setting BIOS to UEFI -> first allowed the ISO to boot and ananconda had no problems automatically setting up GPT and EFI. I guess I had been booting BIOs mode first previously. Which is why it was giving me fits about partitioning to GPT with EFI before. 99% of things are smoo...

Anaconda gpt/efi install [Solved]

Now that I've gotten uefi boot to live CD, I'd like to ask how to get uefi to work with gpt and the anaconda installer? I found a wiki entry on setting up gpt, but I can't seem to find any sabayon sources on what I need to set for anaconda to setup efi for boot. Any advice on getting it to work will...

UEFI Boot live cd [Solved]

Not sure where to ask this, Attempting to boot the live cd under UEFI seems to freeze at "Please Wait". In Legacy bios mode, I had to boot with "xdriver=vesa" to get it to work with my nvidia card long enough to boot. In UEFI, I tried "xdriver=vesa nomodeset noacpi acpi=off" all in an attempt to try...

Where to request Qemu update [Solved]

I'm new to sabayon. I'd like to get Qemu 2.2 in binary form for Equo. It looks like 2.1.2 is in portage. How would I go about requesting a portage update and then package request, I guess?

Newbie Questions: (Equo vs Rigo),PackageRequest [Solved]

Hello Helpful People, I'm learning Sabayon and I love it so far. I've been going over the documentation and I've come up with a couple of questions. At the moment I'm trying to primarily stay binary package based using rigo. If I continue to use rigo, do I still need to use some of the equo speciali...

Re: Sabayon/Gentoo Newbie (.deb file advice)

Thanks for the information. Messing with source so far has been unsuccessful for me, so i will probably keep the system on entropy for now. Could someone expand on how Gentoo/Sabayon handles 32 on a 64 bit system (on debian it's ia32-libs or multiarch)? Also, is there a convenient way to translate d...
