Re: Sabayon may be turn discontinued?

I do hope other developers come to sabayon, I do like it as a distro and while I can go back to Ubuntu or fedora, or mageia I would like another distro on the side as a backup.

New install, old issue (pipelight) [Solved]

Okay I let sabayon go for a while now, I didnt give up on it but I did keep it in the back of my mind to try again. So I noticed that pipelight got an upgrade in the repos, while I dont need piplelight anymore for netflix as it plays natively on chrome it is still needed for flash. With the end comi...

Will sabayon adopt a better installer?

I only ask as when I did try to installer on sabayon it took me three times to get the OS actually installed.
I always had issues with anaconda installer and feel its a quite terrible.
I like the one in Manjaro and ubuntu but not anaconda, its caused me woes in the past.

Re: Issues with network/samba and netflix playback

I may try the firefox for windows workaround, it could work I just have had a better experience with the pipelight plugin due to it not using as many WINE processes.

Re: Pipelight in Sabayon repo?

Err but I did not have such an issue with firefox 30 on Ubuntu 14.04 so the need for an older version seems illogiclal. I already got user agent overrider. I mean really is there any fundamental difference between firefox on ubuntu and gentoo other then what it was built on? No the issue seems to be...

Re: Issues with network/samba and netflix playback

Well if its not going to play silverlight its kind of pointless to have it. Sorry but this is one of the things I hoped sabayon would do for me but it doesnt seem to work so I may be reinstalling ubuntu. Look I am not trying to sound like a troll here as I do like trying new distros to evaluate them...
