Re: Баг с Alsa и Alsamixer

та же лабуда и в гноме после последнего обновления (ядро 2.6.34, гном 2.30.2) alsamixer: function snd_ctl_open failed for deafault: No such file or directory и возникло оно после того, как я добродушно купился на предложение sulfur грохнуть gnome volume manager после установки обновлений, а вот как ...

Re: myspell-ru is not in sabayon repository - forgotten?

to crisandbea thanks for one more workaround but as I said no newbie will bother to find a way around. if we have Spritz using sabayon repository it is logical to have it there otherwise one can do all the things via command line like the old good day. anyway thanks again for your answer. to Fitzca...

myspell-ru is not in sabayon repository - forgotten?

Hi. I was really surprised when I didn't find russian spellchecking dictionary for openoffice. There are a lot of languages presented and some a way smaller and I presume that it was just forgotten by error. Is it possible to add it because openoffice is better than koffice etc? for me it's not crit...

you may also want to do as root

Code: Select all

# rm -r /var/tmp/portage/*
# rm -r /usr/portage/distfiles/*
and 8,9 gigs for full install is far from enough
mine / is about 19 gigs and I have separate /home as well

1 gb of ram is recommended minimum
then you need 40 gb space just run your system

if you have 2-kernel cpu - one is waisted just for eye-candy-stuff

so
who will upgrade his hardware just to give a try to another ms experiment?

This is rather stupid: powering off Windows while it's booting I know it's stupid. I know it has nothing to do with Sabayon (but with driver it uses). it is not only stupid but extremely dangerous esp when it only starts booting - they say from the very beginning that if you don't want to put at ri...
