Editing the Xfce menu.

Hi, To edit the Xfce menu there's Alacarte. I find Alacarte a bit...well...not really my cup of tea. There's a really good alternative: Menulibre . But it is not available in Rigo. I can download a tarball and install it manually. My question is simple: did anyone tried installing Menulibre in the p...

Re: How to set my keyboard right?

Even under Razor-QT my keyboard is not set correct. I'll have to run the instructions given by Fitzcarraldo but as far as I can judge it, this issue is not good for Sabayon....

Re: How to set my keyboard right?

I haven't checked the above yet, but i found out it has something to do with the Cinnamon desktop environment. Under Xfce i can set my keyboard right but under Cinnamon this is not possible.

I'm trying out Razor-QT at this moment. Lovely desktop environment, looks great!

Re: How to set my keyboard right?

The second link in your post points to your own same post (at least that's what happens in the browser on my PC). If you don't have the directory /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ then create it. And create the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-keyboard.conf as explained in the first link in my previous post. Just ...

Re: Time is not correct

Okay, it' s been solved now! the time runs correctly as it should be!

I checked this file:
/etc/conf.d/hwclock
And in that file the setting for clock was set as local instead of UTC. Changed it and it works now!

Many thanks for all your help guys

Re: How to set my keyboard right?

I have this keyboard. . This post doesn't make any sense , the link provided shows really strange keyboards for The Netherlands (we do use qwerty but the layout doesn't match the standard layout we have). I've checked my xorg.con file and this is what i have as "InputDevice": Section "InputDevice" ...

According to Rigo it's installed already, but the command:

Code: Select all

ntpdate time-a.nist.gov
doesn't seem to work:
[email protected] ~ $ ntpdate time-a.nist.gov
bash: ntpdate: opdracht niet gevonden
[email protected] ~ $

Thanks again! And yes i updated my system using Rigo and clicked the Detail button which eventually shows...
