Re: Failed to find module 'zfs'

Hey guys,

This is normal to have these messages. That's the method that grub use to find out what filesystem is on a disk. It just try to read it with ext2, btrfs, zfs, ... So don't worry about these messages.

Re: SABAYON IS WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT - IN MY CASE - GOODB

May be avoid latest version for now. Since you told us that it was a latest Samsung laptop, did you turned off "secure boot" in the bios and allowed legacy boot ? This could be a major problem. I suspect something is not correctly set in the bios. It seems to be a fairly standard Intel processor and...

Re: SABAYON IS WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT - IN MY CASE - GOODB

Screaming is definitly bad manners. If you need help, you could post information about your machine : what model, cpu, memory, type of disk, etc. With this information we could help... I use sabayon and I never (and I mean never) had the type of problem you had. So we are all interested to know what...

Re: filesystem ... does not contain valid init=/sbin/init

How about reading a good source of information on systemd first :

https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd

And check section about Grub 2.

A lot of us have hit this problem.

Check these :

I just took off the [ifnet] section from /etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf at the end.

Re: Converting from Entropy to Portage

I see some reason to use portage : Sometimes a package from the gentoo repository is missing from entropy and you need it. Sometime a package from entropy is not compiled with the use flags you need. And always check dependencies before emerging a package and try to add theses with entropy before yo...

Re: Kdm autologin

Hi, It may be entropy (rigo) that want to revert the file back to what is was. You may have to protect the file from entropy by modifying /etc/entropy/client.conf : add "/usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc" (without the quotes) at the end of the following 2lines : config-protect = ... config-protect-skip= ....

Re: can't mount flash drives

Did you check if the SpaceFM daemon is still running in background ? (spacefm -d)

Any messages in the logs ?

Re: qemu in problem since last update ?

I would like to add that this problem is at my work computer only (an intel DELL laptop) but not at home (an HP AMD laptop).

Both machine are setup to use python 2.7 with python-exec 0.3.1 and 2.0.1 installed.

Still hoping for a clue!
