Re: Anyone uses XBMC

It's not been called XBMC for a long time. Now called KODI but it is the same thing. I have used it for a long time to manage my movies & TV shows. For that I give it 10/10. Many use it for streaming, I use it to stream some tv shows but it depends a lot on the source, their servers & your d.l. spee...

Re: Wired connection fails.

If you do not post any technical information, e.g. about your network devices, nobody is able to help you. Ahh .... now I remember why i stopped using this forum & Sabayon. Unhelpful replies. How about giving the advice AND a possible solution to a new user  For anyone reading this who...

Wired connection fails. [Solved]

Hi Guys, Tried Sabayon long time back but ended up with Antergos which has been my main Distro for over a year now. Thought I would have another look at Sabayon on a dual boot. First off I noticed that my wired connection, using LiveCD kept failing to connect but I thought this was perhaps just a bu...

Re: Win games under Wine

I haven't seen it listed but the brilliant Sins of a Solar Empire, Trinity and Rebelion both work on Wine.

For those who remember ELITE, there is also the revampted OOLITE with runs on Linux.

Re: I cant see my HOME partition.

Along with this post, I was also asking on Facebook Linux group & got loads of info. Clearly I need to learn more about LVM but thanks to being pointed at Gnome Disks I got this http://i.imgur.com/Nmcj7RF.jpg Which clearly shows all my partions as they should be & home clearly there. By using Deja D...

Re: I cant see my HOME partition.

Update........tried using the Live version of Sabayon & same result, no access to anything other than the 500mb 'drive' Uzi. UPDATE 2 .... a member on the Linux Facebook group suggested that the drive needed mounting via Gparted when in LiveCD. Linux Lite said LVM not supported. Sabayon though worke...

I cant see my HOME partition.

Hi all, I hope this forum is helpful & friendly to newbies unlike a couple of others. I started off leaving XP for Zorin. The guys on the forum were a great help & very patient. Unfortunately some bugs / hardware incompatibility made me need to look for another distro. I have ended up with Sabayon G...
