Re: hplip not working hp officejet pro +

Although I don't use your particular model, I use several different models of HP printers and HP MFPs in various offices, but I never use hp-setup; I always install, configure and manage those printers via the CUPS Printer Manager in a browser window. Have you tried doing that? Launch Firefox, Chro...

Basic boot (a strange dance with Windows 8)...

I have Sabayon 13.10.0 installed on a usb 3.0 external hd. I do dual boot with Windows 8, on my AMD64 HP Pavillion desktop. I have been doing a very irritating dance to be able to use Sabayon: After I do a shutdown of my Linux system & CPU, to reboot Sabayon, I first need to completely boot back in ...

Re: Rigo & Calibre not working after kde upgrade 10.12.13

I dont know why members of these forums feel the need to be so unhelpful. Henry check out this thread: https://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=30886&p=166902&hilit=rigo#p166902 Uzi. Thanks much Uzi! (& I think NoSavy is correct when they say "don't panic," I say that all the time, to myself,...

Rigo & Calibre not working after kde upgrade [Solved]

Hi, Kind of new to Sabayon... hopefully, I'm learning something, but just had a rather large upgrade of Sabayon/KDE, etc.(including kernel)... Now Rigo & Calibre will not load/function. This is the output when I try to run them in the terminal: For Calibre: $ calibre Traceback (most recent call last...

Re: modify permissions for a partition sabayon linux;4mounti

HenryP, maybe I missed it, but /dev/sda5 is a NTFS partition now, correct? But it was previously ext4 (before you reformmated)? Exactly, but I only did this to try & see if I could read & write to this partition from Sabayon because it appeared I could at least read from my Windows disk (I did not ...

Re: modify permissions for a partition sabayon linux;4mounti

... Sorry, I said only 'mount', not 'mount /dev/sda5'! And, what makes /dev/sda5 busy? And, it seems, that /dev/sda5 is mounted to /mnt/sda5 already because of entry in fstab, what makes sense. P.s., /dev/sdb is my Sabayon disk. Ok, that's fine. You should be able to access /mnt/sda5 anyway.Open a ...

Re: modify permissions for a partition sabayon linux;4mounti

Sorry, could you do a fdisk -l as root (su), pls? Then, Windows 8 isn't able to read ext4 file system as all I know... And, can you do a mount for me also, pls? Be careful. Don't mount /dev/sda without any number. I fear severe problems, if you won't receive an error... -Linuxfluesterer (I love KDE...
