After installing some updates today, the problem seems to be resolved:

Re: Conflicting packages after latest "equo update"

Same thing here. At first I thought my entropy database had been corrupted, but apparently I'm not the only one ( This thread seems to be about the same problem). For now, I'm keeping the new libgcrypt-1.6.1-r1. Even though the older libgcrypt package is removed, Entropy is smart enough to still pre...

Re: Having trouble with skype

I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD5870. I also had similar skype problems in the past: a red and green ghost image over the bottom part of the video window. I don't use skype as often as I used to, but I haven't noticed any distortion the last few times. I recently switched from the proprietary AMD/AT...

Re: grub2-mkconfig ask for zfs

Provia wrote: To solvee this problem you need to install the zfs kmod package for your kernel that, in your case, is the 3.12.
Sure, but why install a module you don't need (especially one that taints the kernel), just to get rid of some harmless warnings?

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately. You'll just have to learn to ignore them.

Re: grub2-mkconfig ask for zfs

This is nothing to worry about. To build up the grub boot menu, grub has to check all the file systems on your hard drive to look for operating systems to add to the menu. As part of this process it probes each partition to determine its file system. When grub tries to test for zfs, the kernel tries...

Re: how to... nfs

/mnt/dat 10.0.0.2/40(rw) in server (desktop pc) Oh, by the way, I just noticed the netmask in your /etc/exports looks wrong. The /40 at the end of your network address indicates a 40 bit network prefix but IPv4 addresses are only 32 bits long therefore your network prefix should be less than 32. I ...

Re: how to... nfs

It looks like the nfs server daemon is not running on your desktop pc. How to fix this will depend on whether you're running openrc or systemd. If you're not sure which you're using do: eselect init list Look for the * in the output, if it's next to the sysvinit line then you're using openrc, if it'...

Re: Garbage at screen at boot.

That picture looks like the KDE splash screen. The problem is with the Sabayon KDE splash screen theme. The resolution of the background image is wrong. See this forum thread: http://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=30437 and this bug report: http://bugs.sabayon.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4338
