Re: Upgrade trashed my system and now Rigo won't start!?
Perhaps you can resume the upgrade with equo from a terminal: [...] The upgrade appeared to have finished -- except for a complaint about 3 config files needing checking and updating (which is a bit bizarre -- how would a newbie know what to do with them??). Anyway, I ran "equo upgrade", and it sai...

Re: Upgrade trashed my system and now Rigo won't start!?
Open terminal/Konsole and type in (as normal user) "rigo" then copy paste the output here. OK, here's the output: rigo:7114): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_file_new_for_path: assertion `path != NULL' failed (rigo:7114): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_loadable_icon_load: assertion `G_IS_LOADABLE_ICON (icon)' fai...

Upgrade trashed my system and now Rigo won't start!?
I was running Sabayon 11 KDE, did an upgrade via Rigo, and (after a couple of hours) the upgrade process stopped dead. Something had obviously died silently. I rebooted and logged in, but I only got a console. I.e., no X-windows, no KDE, no nothing. Couldn't even run a browser to ask for help on thi...

Re: Install HP printer? "open hplip"? - How? (KDE). [Solved]
all commands come with hplip Weird. I did indeed install hplip via Rigo earlier (or so I thought). It seemed to be downloading heaps of glibc and kde stuff and took hours. Maybe something went awry and the hplip install didn't complete properly. Anyway, I just re-tried to install hplip via Rigo, an...

Re: Install HP printer? "open hplip"? -- How? (KDE)
Thanks for the reply, svantoviit. Unfortunately, I seem to have none of the things you listed. Which menu should "HP Device Manager" appear under? Also, what's the full directory path to those other commands you mentioned? Perhaps something is missing from my system, but I don't know what ...

Install HP printer? "open hplip"? -- How? (KDE) [Solved]
OK, so I finally got around to installing my HP Laserjet 3390 printer on my Sabayon+KDE system. On the Sabayon Wiki, i.e., https://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?title=HOWTO:_Install_a_HP_Printer it says: 1) Install hplip [...] (OK - I did that with Rigo.) 2) [...] open hplip. Hmm... but how do I "open ...

Re: Which pdf reader on Sabayon 11 (Xfce)? And where is foxi
There is nothing wrong with the KDE ISO. Well, either you have a nonstandard meaning for "nothing wrong", or you didn't read my post carefully. And yet, miracle of miracles, it works fine for others. I don't doubt it, but so what? It wouldn't be the first time that a dist fails to work 10...

There is nothing wrong with the KDE ISO. Re: Which pdf reader on Sabayon 11 (Xfce)? And where is foxi
From your original lack of epdfview to your latest report, it looks to me like your installation or subsequent upgrades were not sane anyway. There appears to something wrong with your installation. Yes. I begin to suspect that the earlier advice in this thread to run "equo install kdebase-meta" wa...
