Re: Ambient light sensor support: iio_sensor_proxy

Thanks. I had seen the Gentoo solution, but I couldn't get it to work. I now filed a new bug (package request) as you suggested. Regards, Wim

Ambient light sensor support: iio_sensor_proxy [Solved]

On my Dell XPS 13 (model 9333), I want the ambient light sensor to be supported by Gnome. Standard feature if supported (and the pertaining amblient light sensort hardware is in the laptop of course). But apparently for the support I need the iio_sensor_proxy package installed. It seems not availabl...

Thanks Firzcarraldo, for this good recommendation. And the more important question: how do I set up the other site, viz., on the remote server?

Graphical remote login to a Sabayon server

With my old server running a brand new Sabayon-Gnome, I can do everything I want sitting behind the server monitor. But I also want to sit behind my (Sabayon-Gnome) laptop, open a program, point it to that server, and then see the same graphical desktop with a login prompt as I see when I sit behind...

However, sofar I fail to succeed to set up remote graphical access (I'll make a separate question for that) and started searching here on the forum. And ...

Should I use the Sabayon Server iso for this?

I'm thinking to deploy the Sabayon Server image, as I have Sabayon on my laptop and I like it very much. My server is to do monitoring of the LAN and connected infrastructure (Nagios or MRT...

Install a new Sabayon release via Rigo?

I have a working installation of Sabayon on my laptop (for many years), and regularly update it with Rigo. Now there is a new release available, viz., with a new kernel, latest GCC, etc. This release, nor these newer packages are available for me to install via Rigo. What should I do to make the app...

Didn't work for me either, I'm sorry to report. And no solution yet, as far as I see it?
