Re: Suggestion: Emergency fix Repo

Hi joost!

thank for your reply! I'm already running a SL XFCE and a SL KDE with sabayonlinux.org and limbo both enabled.
It's curious that i haven' t got any single problem with last updates.

Just another question: are we able to bring an emergency update directly in weekly without waiting a week?

Re: Sabayon e drivers Nvidia

Re: Suggestion: Emergency fix Repo

It seems to me a good idea. Maybe this is OT but: maybe having a consistent testing branch can give us more stability? I mean, at the moment the limbo repo is just an overlay, it just contains some packages (you have to keep enabled the daily repo). Maybe having some testing users that are running f...

Re: Sabayon e drivers Nvidia

Ciao Aquila!

My system is still broken.
Sorry for dumb question, but have you saved the grub file before exit nano?

Re: All gone to hell since latest update

Remember that you have to give the grub update command as root

Re: All gone to hell since latest update

I think that you can also use the nano editor in terminal (wich is already installed)

Code: Select all

sudo nano /your/file/path

Re: Sound question

Have you checked all the volume levels in alsamixer?
I remember you that you can change the device displayed in alsamixer with the f6 button, and you can mute and unmute the channels with the 'm' key.

Re: KDE sluggish after update

I don't think that this is a problem related to the kde version since I (and others) don't have this issue. I suggest you to try to move in some other directory the .kde4 folder and let kde reset all the settings to default at the next reboot. If this not solve your problem you can always put your o...
