Lost Sound [Solved]

Lost sound, not quite sure what's happened but I can hear small speaker clicks and pops. KDE sound events don't play and neither does anything else. Messing around in KMix solves nothing.

Thanks.

Re: (last update) Kernel Panic Unable to Mount root fs on..

It eventually let me back in to SL and I reinstalled various packages. It'll do for the time being.

last update - Kernel Panic Unable to Mount root fs on..

Pretty sure it was either the last update or a file transfer to external storage drive when this happened. I'm locked out of SL and in Windows. The dual boot set up is Windows / SL (home & root) and I put openSUSE on a 100GB end partition a week or so ago. Everything booted fine, no problems. Then a...

Re: I would like to install Krita [Solved]

I assumed it would be out with KDE 4.10.1 weekly with it being default KDE office package.....and then I forgot about it. I'll do a version bump-zilla.

Re: I would like to install Krita [Solved]

You've answered your own question - it's unstable. Very few distros are ever going to put an unstable / experimental software release out for general public consumption. That's why you have different repositories, like testing. You've got a point with 2.6 though. I'm not sure what the delay is.

Re: app.py eating memory (200 MB) in the background

You don't need the process running all the time. I don't let Rigo run at start up and app.py is only used when Rigo runs so I just kill the system process (app.py) after I've used Rigo in system monitor. No big deal it's not like I use Rigo every day. I'll fill a bug report out later, I've seen it a...

Re: Rigo questions

Rigo is still under very active development so any shortcomings are inevitable but you should be addressing this in the Entropy|Equo|Sulfur Package Managers section of the forum really. If you want further package information use: https://packages.sabayon.org/

Re: Which pdf reader on Sabayon 11 (Xfce)? And where is foxi

I don't doubt it, but so what? It wouldn't be the first time that a dist fails to work 100% satisfactorily everywhere. Yes, and when you suspect corruption and 'things aren't quite right' and a moderator says "there appears to be something wrong with your installation" then it's no different in Lin...

Re: Installer menu items are ineffective (KDE 11 32 bit)

I'm saying what happens when you simply insert the Sabayon disk you burnt and just let it run till it gets to the live desktop (whatever you have chosen, kde, gnome, xfce, etc) ?
