Re: What is this Lib Migration thingy?

The older portage thing was for a really out of date system, over a year out of date. The sabayon-lib-migration should be working for you. What happens if you try to do an 'equo i sys-apps/sabayon-lib-migration' ?

Re: Issues with minimal install

Honestly, I would suggest installing a non-minimal version of Sabayon to get to a fully working system faster. The downside of the daily images is that they haven't gone through any QA. So it's quite possible that the minimal install is missing something that Fluxbox needs (although in this case it ...

Re: Issues with minimal install

The minimal install doesn't provide a slimmed down kernel, rather it doesn't bundle all the available separate kernel modules up front. That said, I couldn't see anything in the install you provided that told me what was going wrong.

Re: Android emulators?

None in entropy perhaps, but you could certainly install a number of them fairly easily outside of the package manager. genymotion is in the main portage tree, for instance.

Re: Brand new install Gnome and /or KDE

Yeah, 19.03 is pretty old at this point. We need to make a new official iso release, but until then, I suggest grabbing one of the daily builds and giving it a go: http://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/os/Linux/distr/sabayonlinux//iso/daily/daily.html You won't have to deal with the lib migration, since what you ...

Re: How to upgrade few years old installation? Its redownloading lots of packages and after that fail..

I thing that average user shouldnt be forced to know how to solve this things on terminal level.. The average user doesn't try to update years old installation either. So your point that this should be easy... well it would certainly be nice, but it's going to be really low on a priority list, alwa...

Re: Sound pops and cracks

My issue has stopped completely somewhere along the way. I think mine had to do with the issue with ryzen/ryzen mobos that I linked about earlier. Sorry to hear that you still have issues. :(

Re: Brand new install Gnome and /or KDE

Just to be clear, what you're seeing isn't the intended outcome. The sabayon-lib-migration is supposed to make it easy for you, but clearly it isn't working as intended. We'll need a dev to take a look at it. What version of Sabayon are you installing? If you're doing a fresh install of a recent Sab...
