Re: Sound pops and cracks

Hi, it seemed to work for a few hours.
I've listened in Clementine, for two hours, without problems.
Then watched TV, in VLC. It started to crackle aggressively.
I have stopped VLC, opened it again. It popped now and then, not so often.

Re: Sound pops and cracks

No, only the soundcard is USB. The speakers are analog, not digital.

Re: Sound pops and cracks

How does it help narrowing the problem? Could be the VLC? Or phonon itself?
Done, still popping, but how am I sure it uses one backend and not another?

Sound pops and cracks

Hello, I have a SB X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro and a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-930C, I use KDE, VLS, Clementine. I watch TV in VLC, listen music in Clementine or VLC. I see in KDE settings having Phonon VLC only (indeed, many alsa related packages are not installed). My issue started when I have re-installed Sa...

I think they are in some resource, I can't find them as separated scripts.

Re: Wayland problems

Yeah, it works as well as nVidia works in all the cases, i.e. crashy!

Oh God, how I love the moment when Linus was showing them the bird! Exactly how I feel!

Re: Hotel wifi prisoner [Solved]

Amazing! Don't know what the hotel proxy did to my system, or how it managed the connection. It seems that /etc/resolv.conf became inaccessible to whatever configured it back, at home. It was empty. I have removed it (as root), restarted, and was created again, so it added a nameserver and workgroup...
