Re: Select another equo mirror?

Thanks for the reply. I used to have all those mirrors in the file. Somehow during the changeover to the new package manager my entropy_sabayon-weekly file ended up with only the five mirrors. I had been wondering if those US mirrors had gone out of service for some reason. The mirrorsort worked fin...

Select another equo mirror? [Solved]

This is driving me crazy. I can not get equo to use any repository/mirror other than na.mirror.garr.it. I wouldn't mind except it is sooo slow here in USA. I've run mirrorsort and it selects another mirror but still uses na.mirror.garr.it. I've commented out the na.mirror.garr.it line in the entropy...

Re: Equo update - repository not available

Solved for me too. Guess it was just a temporary situation. Good!

Re: systemd boot password prompt for mounting LUKS

I'm having a similar behavior when booting to the kdm login screen. During the boot messages, the prompt to enter the passphrase displays but the boot messages keep going. I just start entering the passphrase, ignoring any more boot messages, and when I hit enter at the end of the passphrase. It dis...

Re: KDE looses all panels (taskbar, launcher etc)

I'm having a similar problem since the 4.10.1 updates. When I have a reduced size (approx. 1/3 screew width) main panel, it goes invisible when I open two or more programs. My side panel is not affected because it only has launcher icons and does not change length. If I make my main panel full scree...

Re: Unable to logout/reboot/shutdown

cl00t - Thanks for the reply. I've had a building list of orphaned packages to remove manually but was reluctant to delete them. But I have now done that using your 'equo remove' suggestion. I can now logout/reboot/shutdown via the KDE menu. Thanks. My new/only lingering issue is my main panel now g...

Unable to logout/reboot/shutdown

I'm up to date SL11, kernel 3.7, KDE 4.10.1, amd64. I've just run the weekly upgrade and now I can not logout, reboot, or shutdown using the KDE menu. The equo upgrade I just ran ends with the same package removal message as in this thread: https://forum.sabayon.org/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=29372. I get...

Re: Print to File placed in wrong directory

dunsurfin - That was a good catch. I tried it with a single click on the desired directory name and it saves to that directory. Great! I've been doing this constantly since October so I do know that it used to work when I would double click. I remember seeing the directory contents greyed-out becaus...

Re: Print to File placed in wrong directory

dunsurfin -

I can save to my Desktop too, just checked it. But the 'Other' option does not put the file in the correct directory.
