Ok, since I needed my laptop for my Visual Basic class, I needed to install Windows back on it. I'll try an old Sony VAIO with this distro and an old PCI D-Link card that is proven to work with Linux (Used it with Fedora and Knoppix). Till then, thx for the help.

Yea, I tried that... Looked at all of it with no success. It does identify the card and even the network but will not assign any ID's and would not give me a connection to the router. It just says aquiring and initilizing (sry for the spelling) and then it says disconnected like it ried but couldn't...

Getting my ipw 3945 working...

Ok, the one reason I got this distro is it's support for ipw 3945. But it does not seem to be working. Can anyone in noob language (I'm new to linux) help me step by step to get this working when in a live environment?

Yes and I tried that a few hours ago. I was around 4.3k/s which if I kept up would be going more than 10 days. I think I'll pass on that.

So I have to download it for 1.98$ in order to get it? What is wrong with the torrent anyway? I mean I used bitcomet and bittorrent and downloaded the torrent from different sites. What is wrong with it!? Either the app errors out or the torrent is corrupt. EDIT: Now the torrent wants to work... :?
