Actually 3.5 Loop 2, as I had hoped, solved my problem and now my wireless connects without issue.

Re: Wifi sees network, wont connect.

Depending on the version of SL you might have to upgrade / downgrade the dchp and or update the wpa_suplicant not sure about correct spelling right now. No can do, no online access except via Wifi. I know, I can enable my NIC and move my computer to a place where I can physically connect, however s...

Re: Wifi sees network, wont connect.

Everything is reported properly by iw/ifconfig and the wireless apps GUIs. It even detects my EEISD and that I am using WEP. The only point where it varies from kubuntu is that when I enter my WEP key, it tries to connect for about another 30 seconds and fails. I have tried using the CLI with a few ...

Wifi sees network, wont connect.

Ok, when I start Sabayon, the network manager sees my network, asks me for my WEP key, I give it, but it never completes the connection. I have tried 3.4f and 3.5l1 both unsuccessful. The same program, asks me for the same info when I boot Kubuntu (even on a LiveCD), however it connects just fine. I...

Re: Sabayon on eBay - Is this legal?

GPL v3 4. You may charge any price or no price for each copy that you convey, and you may offer support or warranty protection for a fee. Be that as it may , my original point never mentioned GPL (any version, my quote was based on v2) or any license at all, just that many projects have addendum's ...

Re: Sabayon on eBay - Is this legal?

A Few things of note about the general legality of selling FOSS. General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you have the freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for this service if you wish) You may charge a fee for the physical act of transferring a copy, and you may a...

Re: Sabayon on eBay - Is this legal?

They are not selling you the distribution, they are getting money for the media they put it on, the wear and tear on the burner, the time and effort put into downloading, burning, listing and shipping the media, and the cost of shipping. There are many Linux vendors who sell distributions like this,...

Re: Crysis + linux ??

Either make Wine/Crossover/Cedega able to emulate DX9 better or attempt to recreate DirectX in Linux natively. And what to you is 'natively' ? Wine has their own, native Linux versions of all the DirectX DLLs. All the code is pure Linux code. However since neither nVidia or ATI create Linux DirectX...

Well I cannot get my headset working in Windows, but I think thats purely a driver issue. Cheap USB bluetooth adapter, crappy drivers for it. I tried the Kubuntu Live CD and I was able to install the needed software to pair my headset, and I can get music to come from the headset speaker, I didnt ha...
