well you can try also to check the squashfs livecd image
Checking the integrity of a LiveDVD/CD

you can do that online, from livedvd session, or offline by downloading and mounting the iso and checking the livecd.squashfs.sha256 checksum against livecd.squashfs image

the graphical sabayon linux livedvd installer did it again! CRASH! clic the damn thing, the Install to Hard Drive icon from the desktop ... nothing ... only a few bounces of the icon in a kde v4.14.2 live session ... not so impressive trying to be a little smart, same results: cd /home/sabayonuser/D...

you can go even on a deeper level if you want tot check the integrity of a livedvd/cd! when you bootup from a livedvd medium, be it dvd, cd or usbstick, in that live session the iso image is mounted in /mnt/cdrom : [email protected] /mnt/cdrom $ ls -1 autorun.inf boot BUILD_INFO cdupdate.sh efi id...

using your precious ram space for temporary files, when you wonder how you managed to fill all disk with temporary files is not a good solution! is you /tmp dir in a separate partition? if not yet why not? is a simple solution, make a separate small partition 5G i think is enough even for dvd images...
