Using bcache on a fresh install

Hi all, I saw a nice tutorial for using bcache on a Fedora fresh install ( http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?p=1682351#post1682351 . I don't know if any of you have been able to accomplish something similar with Sabayon ? I tried to follow the same steps but the installer would crash righ...

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem

I probably misunderstood the "Upgrading the Linux kernel" section of the wiki, but I really thought that the eselect kernel command was used to select the kernel to boot from. I'll definitely have to read it again. And if this can minimize my mistake, english isn't my primary language  .

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem [Solved]

Magic! I got my problem solved by removing linux-server. I don't understand why it got installed in the first place (probably kernel-switcher). And the other thing is I don't understand why my system was booting from linux-server while my "eselect kernel" was pointing to linux-sabayon. Anyway, thank...

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem

I reinstalled nvidia-drivers and it didn't fix the problem. That's just a guess, but anyway. My kernel is set to "linux-3.9.0-sabayon". david-laptop ~ # eselect kernel list Available kernel symlink targets: [1] linux-3.8.0-sabayon [2] linux-3.9.0-sabayon * [3] linux-3.9.0-server My installed nvidia ...

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem

bbswitch is installed, but there seam to be a problem with the module. Here's the complete "# journalctl -b --no-pager --full" output. Pastebin wouldn't let me paste that many characters. I had a hard time finding another hosting service.

Re: Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem

Hi lxnay,

I use systemd as init system. Bumblebee is running. I used "systemctl enable bumblebeed" to make it start at boot.

Bumblebee and Nvidia Optimus problem [Solved]

Hi, I upgraded my kernel yesterday to linux-3.9.0-sabayon. Since then, bumblebee doesn't seem to work anymore. When I try to run "optirun glxspheres", I get the following error message: [ 368.290628] [ERROR]The Bumblebee daemon has not been started yet or the socket path /var/run/bumblebee.socket wa...

Re: Juniper Networks

I run Sabayon i686, so the problem of the 64 bits java libraries does not apply to my situation.

I'm also sure it can be done...
