Re: Wine-doors useless?

 http://wddb.wine-doors.org/ Very very broken and I don't have time to fix it Google is your friend. :) Yeah, I saw that. Was basically asking if anyone had managed to get it working in spite of the repos being down/gone. App seems to work, but the functionality is crippled without the repos.

Wine-doors useless?

Anyone have wine-doors working? I installed it, but it seems to sit idle on first run. Doesn't seem to be doing anything at all for a good long while (20+ minutes). I killed it and re-executed - saw a cute progress bar moving, but I got the following error: could not find /home/<myhomedir>/.wine-doo...

Re: Flash done right? Firefox??

I have flash player problem on firefox!? on Sabayon Thanks Sam I'm going to give the 'psychic detective' thing a shot here; 1. You're running a 64-bit kernel (x86_64/amd64)? 2. You've recently updated your system? 3. You're seeing either a blank box or a "download plugin" message where a flash vide...

Re: Proper method for handling a .tar.gz?

Took a look at bit defender - seems like a robust package, but the multiple .rpms sort of put me off. Is rpm solid as far as removing the packages you use it to install? I haven't used rpm at all since my 'Redhat dep-hell' days, so I'm out-of-the-loop as far as how it may've improved (if at all). It...

Re: Proper method for handling a .tar.gz?

Thanks for that, Fitzcarraldo - I must seriously need some sleep...I completely neglected to even check bugzilla... I've actually never, ever used bit-defender, though I had read the how-to you linked earlier. I'll have a look at the reviews - much obliged! Avast is what I use on my "gratis c...

Proper method for handling a .tar.gz? [Solved]

I'll likely get wrist-slapped for this, but I can't seem to find an .ebuild for Avast antivirus at all. Some cat on the Gentoo end was fiddling with one, but his links are as dead as disco. I DID manage to grab the tarball from Avast's site (they only offer .rpm/.deb/.tar.gz). I know how you guys fe...

Re: Virtualbox 2.1.2 does not start

I ended-up doing the same thing.
I'm still a bit curious why things changed in this vbox version, though.

Re: Virtualbox 2.1.2 does not start

I'm curious about this as well - why have we switched to a headless install/version of Vbox for 2.1.2?

Re: What do you love about Sabayon?

is that Diaz,,, i use Gentoo also, but Sabayon, at the same time that is a semi-binary (because are optimized and personalizable binaries, in Entropy),practical as Mandriva and Fedora at the same time is a Gentoo, and a installed Gentoo. No, it's pronounced "Diz", actually...but it's spelled as was...
