First of all Whilo, I don't hate you, but I do not like your approach, or your ignorance when arguing / discussing with Sabayon devoted / longtime users, Sabayon developers and Sabayon developers in training. This is/was exactly not my intention. Its not that I don't like the users, I simply didn't...

This is what will give this distro staying power, because compiling from source, IMO, is really the only way to gain the most stable OS. I don't agree here. This is a myth. I've used Gentoo for 2 years on my server and 2 desktop machines and there were times when I worked all day long to get it wor...

No cron normally doesn't 'remember' any tasks as this would have serveral disadvantages as a default behaviour. Imagine the cron job is then later run on a heavily loaded server workstation. Often tasks are specified not randomly but purposely to a certain point in time. As far as I know fcron (anot...

Is it compatible to KVM?

Sabayon has already kvm build in and kqemu helps on processors without VT technology. I don't know if kqemu and kvm (a qemu fork) work well together at the moment. But I think that it definetly should be included, too!

Cheers,

Add ingredients and emphasize the claw plz

I like the old 3.0 theme the most, maybe one could add a litte bit more of the ingredients of Sabayon. This would give the style more appetite and emphasize a little bit more the speciality of Sabayon. Please do the 3.3 logo more crystal like and the style more like 3.0. A mixture of 3.2 and 3.0 ple...

As far as I know the gpl driver only supports cards up to radeon 9250, which is not really a lot and very outdated.

@ ArcherB: I don't think its just another Distro without a 3D Desktop. We have a discussion thread about that what Sabayon is here: http://www.sabayonlinux.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2375 BTW the XBox 360 Sabayon Linux, once it is cracked and usable by Linux, would suffer the same Problem, too, since...

You can use both. I think this has been stated elsewhere already. For general information about 32bit vs. 64bit use google. I've decided for the 64 bit version of Sabayon and it works great with it. I've had almost no drawbacks. The only one is that flash 9 does not work in Konqueror with me but onl...

Hi, also Alsamixer speichert seine Werte in /etc/asound.state soweit ich weiß. Du solltest diese Datei also entweder als ro only markieren (notfalls auch mit Dateisystem tools auf unterster Ebene) oder das Alsa init script deaktivieren. KMix speichert Werte in ~/.kde/share/config/kmix. Du kannst KM...
