Re: Active Wallpaper or Live Desktop

Sounds like Conky or a Superkaramba widget, but may also be a Plasma desktop. (i've been wondering why KDE hadn't implemented something useful like this, while adding "Virus" and a Mandelbrot fractal browser .)

I never used Conky or Superkaramba enough to be of much help now.

I was hoping for something like Haiku or AROS on them. ;)

Sabayon homepage

First off; the new website design is very nice. :) I just noticed a small grammatical mistake in the "Get Sabayon" box: [....] We provide a Live versions of most of our variants, so you can try out Sabayon without it touching your Computer's Hard drive. (Should either be "a Live version" or "Live ve...

HTTrack is supposed to load its local files in your browser, but there seems to be some domain name resolution conflicts, independent of distribution. See here: http://forum.httrack.com/readmsg/26481/ ... k+opensuse

Re: Can not boot Lvmn2 Part

Hey Bruce,

i've mounted LVM partitions repeatedly using the information here: http://wiki.sabayon.org/index.php?title ... _Mount_LVM.

A graphical LVM manager seems to exist, at least for Ubuntu and Fedora, but i've no experience with that.

Re: KDE Installation

You gotta try QtCurve for the widgets and window decoration, it's highly customizable. Here's my config and color scheme:

Re: Why do you use Sabayon?

Things like the QtCurve window decoration. And installing all sorts of applications. The many multimedia codecs, as some already mentioned, that let you watch or convert anything i want, without having to search through half of the whole internet. And the artwork, of course.

website

The website could use some reworking. There's some loose ends here and there. (the Community area, for example, or how some information is presented)
