Having read the preceding posts I have to say that it all sums up 'The Problem' with Linux in General. Getting it to work for all the various combinations of hardware, whereas the 'other' OS just works regardless. Delete the .Beryl file in your /home folder and restart. Select view all files in Konquerer to see it.

Control alt backspace (3 fingered salute) will restart X if you dont want to do a full re-boot.

Try setting the slider to max. (20) That'll wipe the smile of your face! :)

Deffo a bug somewhere, altering the number is a ratchet process, what goes up doesnt come down.

Flippin odd that TK, I too run Nvidia (7600) and my default (hands off) install came in at 1600x1280, my poor old monitor (17" CRT) nearly fell of the desk. Maybe MAX. display parameters should be requested in the install script?

The end result is worth the wait though,,Eh!

What about the md5 sums? Did they check out? FWIW, I had no problem with 3.25 once I had specified re=1280x1024 (instead of the default 1600xsomething). 3.26 on the other hand had to be reloaded, the first install kept crashing just before login. Unresponsive term screens everywhere! Second install ...
